Moving on up!!!

For weeks now Maezie has been trying to figure out how to stand herself up in the Pack-n-Play. Today I looked over and this is what I saw...

Daddy's so much fun!

Maezie loves spending time with her Daddy. No matter what she seems to always have a smile for him. Here's a video of the two of them having a little fun.  Enjoy!

Thanksgiving / Christmas

We celebrated Maezie's 1st Thanksgiving at Grandma & Papa's house. It was a combination of Thanksgiving and Christmas because Uncle Joel was leaving for the Air Force on Dec. 1st. She really didn't get into the Thanksgiving part seeing as she doesn't eat all that yummy food yet but she sure did love the Christmas part.

Maezie had fun ripping the paper to open her gifts!

Aunt Alisha and Uncle Joel got her the Fisher Price Little Superstar Mirror. It plays all kinds of music and has a guitar, drums and horn on it for her to play. Not to mention that Maezie loves to see herself in the mirror so really
 that's all she needed!

Uncle Nate and Aunt Heidi got her the Fisher Price talking Mailbox. "Let's mail some letters" that's what her and Uncle Nate kept saying all night. Now that's what I hear all day long along with lots of other things the mailbox says.

Aunt Alisha made the matching headbands!

On the move

It didn't take Maezie very long to figure out how to get around. First it was an army crawl dragging her legs then she figured out that she can use her legs to get where she wants a little bit faster. Her favorite thing to go after is the computer. Its fun to watch her but now there is no leaving her in the room by herself or she's into everything!

Trick-or-Treat

I wanted to dress Meazie up to take pictures and to go to both Grandparents house for Halloween. But I didn't want to put a lot of money into a costume so I made her an M&M. Here she is my little Peanut M&M.

Its hard to believe that my little girl is 6 months old already. Here are just a few of the pictures that were taken by Triple Sweet Photography for her 6 months.

Maezie's Room

We realized that many had not yet seen photos of Maezie's completed room... so here they are; well, minus the wording we put on the walls!  Enjoy.

Oh how time flies!

Life continues on and never slows down for anything.  It especially doesn't slow down just to give us time to update this blog.  Oh well!  Here it is anyways, now that it's almost 6 months since Maezie made her debut.  It's been a lot of fun, a lot of noise, and a whole lot of stinky diapers!!!  Some of the new developments include eating rice cereal, squash, and peas (which make a fragrant offering later on), sleeping all the way through the night, rolling completely over, and singing with her musical mirror in the car; amazingly enough, all the songs the mirror plays have the same lyrics which all consist of the one word: ooh.  At least the pitch, and length vary greatly (Mariah Carey look out)!  Ok, on to the pictures which is really why you're here anyway...

Smiling in the pack-n-play

We asked the doctor about this blue fuzzy growth.
'Mimi' Matthews made her the headband

Chillaxin' in the Bumbo!
you wish you could look this adorable sitting in a foam seat

Whazzup world?  Maezie is an expert "air swimmer"!

Uncy Joel & Auntie Leesh "affectionately" refer to Maezie as "Lil Z"
so they got her a hat made.

Two seconds AFTER Mom should have taken the picture!

I was in the middle of a conversation with Pooh Bear!

It's crazy, she's not even six months and yet when Mom pulls out the camera she starts posing like she's a supermodel

Kicking it with Granny (literally - she just kicks and kicks in the water)

Sorry it's been so long, we'll try and do better!

3 Months old

Its hard to believe that tomorrow Maezie will be 3 months old. I'm so thankful that I've been able to stay home with her to see her grow each day. I can't wait to see how the next three months go. Here's just some random pictures from the last couple of months.

Maezie loves getting a bath
She was the size of a doll baby for the wedding. Her Grandma and Grandpa Staley got her an American Girl Bitty Baby for being in the wedding, so now the bitty baby is wearing her dress from the wedding.

I love when she gives me a great big smile

Some catching up

My little sister got married on April 25th. I think other than the bride Maezie was the center of attention for the day. Mom made Maezie's dress from the shaw that went with Alisha's dress and then added a little pink to it from my dress. Alisha wanted Maezie in the wedding so I carried her down the aisle and then gave her to her daddy to take care of during the rest of the wedding.

One man, one camera, one adorable little girl, and just a little bit of photography know-how

I may only be able to hold Daddy's finger, but I've got him wrapped around mine.

Hello world!

The girls.

Mmm, breakfast!

Haha! You wait and see what I'm workin' up for you guys!

Small eyes to see a big world of possibilities!

Best seat in the house!

We thought we knew what love was... Then we met you!
